About me.
For over a decade, I have had the utmost privilege to work with families in all facets of life, being witness to all the moments life brings, both small and big, happy and sad.
As a mother to three beautiful children who are now two adults and a pre-teen, I have experienced all of the tremendous love and worry, patience and joy, doubt and celebration that comes along with parenting. The one thing that I have taken through all of these phases in both my personal life and in my career is the notion that whatever we’re feeling, whatever the fear or the worry or the happiness, that particular feeling cannot be measured by anyone else and is as grand a feeling to others as it is to you. So, when I raised my own children, giving them the freedom to express their feelings however they needed to, was pivotal to showing them the love and respect they deserve, the safe place to share their thoughts, express their fears, and know that they are never doing anything alone because I’ll walk through it with them. This philosophy is what I carry with me when I work with families in my profession or share a private moment of conversation with my eleven-year-old daughter.
Change is tough. Life is tough. Silver Buttons is about just that, and knowing that in small steps, we can all move forward feeling safe, loved and open to new beginnings.
